Intel has said today that the acquisition of the mobile network signal (modem) XMM 7160 supports 4G LTE already started its market presence in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 version 3 for Asia and Europe. This modem is 4G LTE solution and its first Intel-compatible 15-band LTE operators around the world, in addition to adding support 2G, 3G and features Voice-over-LTE. In the future, XMM 7160 will be available on more products, including a number of Bay Trail CPU tablet.
Intel rival Qualcomm has launched RF360 - chip frequency bands compatible with 40-band network and supports most of the regime LTE, 3G and 2G worldwide.
